Preparation

Draw or mark a square with 4-5 meters on each side but add a road as shown in the picture. The road width should be about 50 cm. Please adjust the width and playground to match the age and numbers of players – the kids are supposed to be able to jump from one tile to the other.

How to play Cross Demon

One kid is selected to be the demon and the other kids will gather in one tile.
The goal for the players is to jump from one tile of the square to the other without being touched by the demon. They have to complete a set number of rounds safely finish the game. The demon needs to catch (touch them when jumping from on tile to the next) all kids.

The starting tile and the moving direction can be freely chosen by the group.

Variations

– Allow the players to jump to another tile by leaving the square. A recommendation is 2 allowed steps.
– Add another demon if it is too hard for the daemon to catch players.
